We’re going to be honest with you. We became photographers because we fell in love with documenting authentic human connections and we are absolutely at our best when we have the freedom to create compelling and beautiful images of moments as they unfold.
We get it. Not everyone’s into having their photos taken. Sometimes we worry that we’re going to come off as shy and crazy awkward and that we won’t know what to do with our hands or our feet and it just all seems a bit too stressful. It’s totally okay. I promise, we’ve got you.
Firstly – we don’t pose (in the traditional sense). Some photographers specialise in posing and produce vastly different images. We’re not them.
Secondly – awkward silences are the absolute worst (we’re with you on this one!) – we promise we won’t leave you hanging.
What do we do? We hang out with you. We chat (a lot). We third-wheel you a little (you love it. ; ) ). We crack wildly inappropriate jokes. We chase the light and we ignite sparks between you and shoot them as they burn. There’s no such thing as ‘doing it wrong.’ You showed up – we’re already in love with you.
We LOVE elopements. There is a special place in our hearts for intimate weddings. To be chosen to witness your secret promises and vows – simply to be there to capture the looks between you both, the giddy highs, the whirlwind of it all, is the very reason we do what we do.
We’re happy to help you find gorgeous places to get hitched, but during the ceremony we let everything unfold the way it’s supposed to.
It sounds a bit glib to say that you’re not clients to us, but friends – but hey, we get invited along to witness these incredible moments in your life. We treat that trust with respect. You’re stuck with us now. And if you’re not laughing (and crying) with the one you just said yes to, and having the best damned day of your life, then well, we’re not doing our job.
We’re there to tell your love story. The sweet, the wild, and everything in between.
It’s that simple.
