Rosie + Matt // Mt Tamborine

My last shoot in Queensland was bittersweet. I’d handed Wildhearted & Hitched (my baby for two years) over to its new owner, and set out to shoot my very last booking – but boy did we go out with a bang.

Rosie and Matt had a casual Kombi elopement at Curtis Falls and I am obsessed. Resplendant in a kilt and sporran, Matt matched Rosie’s flower crown and bouquet (another stunning arrangement from Gypsy & Bloom) and we went spelunking through the wilds of Mt Tamborine, including into a patch of wild nettles (good job, Erica), which saw me limping in searing pain for the rest of the shoot. It didn’t stop us from getting ankle deep in waterfall mud though. It’s honestly amazing how shooting can take my mind off anything.

P.S My husband tells me that there would have been a plant nearby that I could have rubbed on the affected area to stop the pain. Who knew? Instead, I flew down the mountain, only stopping at a pharmacy to beg them to soothe the fire in my skin, and still made it to my choir gig at Bigsound in the Valley. Yeeeewww.
